Is jaggery better than sugar ?

Jaggery is better than sugar but only marginally. Jaggery contains a little more micronutrients than refined sugar because of its molasses content. Molasses is a nutritious by-product of the sugar making process, which is usually removed when making refined sugar. So, while it may be slightly “healthier” to replace refined sugar with jaggery but the important thing is to limit the sugar or jaggery intake to 2 tsp per day.
